Subject: Great Ceasar's ghost!
I didn't expect much from this movie and was pleasantly surprised.

Alan Baxter seemed a bit flat at times, but the plot moved along and the supporting cast were good.

Enjoyed seeing Superman's (Clark Kent) boss, John Hamilton, as a baddie.

The film ended just short of completion, but such are the joys of archived PD movies.

Subject: Entertaining
A lightweight but entertaing crime drama. Florence Rice plays the female lead as the feisty reporter in love with Alan Baxter, special prosecutor. Constance Worth is her potential love rival and Marlo Dwyer is the informant, all watchable actresses. Some moments of genuine humour and the action moves along briskly.

Subject: Storyline
From IMDB:
Roger Andrews, an assistant district attorney, is the accidental hero of a police capture that results in his appointment by crooked civic leaders as a special prosecutor assigned to smash a crime ring. The crooked politicians, in an effort to cover their own tracks, work to turn public sympathy against him but, aided by newspaper-reporter Ann Thompson and informant Carol Turner, he adopts gangland's own methods in getting a confession for the ring's hired killer.
